Jeff Benatar is a Jazz Pianist with a passion for teaching. Benatar received his Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Jazz Studies (Piano) and Contemporary Media from the Eastman School of Music, with a minor in Pedagogy. He earned his MA at the world's only Jazz History and Research program at Rutgers-Newark, The State University of New Jersey, where wrote a Master's thesis at the Institute of Jazz Studies (for which he received a research award). Benatar was the first Jazz Piano Performance student at The Ohio State University to graduate with Honors.
